Oil Line to Tank Connections Posted on : March 5, 2018 By Hersey Cartwright 1990 Sportster Just documenting the location of the oil lines on the 1990 Sportster for replacement. The oil lines are in pretty bad shape (cracked and leaking at fittings) and all of them need to be replaced. Also going to replace the oil tank (the chrome one is UGLY).

First two numbers are the model code 3A = XL - XLH-1000. 4A = XLCH-1000. 1970 was the first year they stamped the frame with numbers too. If the motor has not been swapped the numbers should match.
