Grand Parade bee balm (Monarda 'Grand Parade') is a showy flowering herbaceous perennial plant that belongs to the mint family. It grows upright and can reach a height of 2-3 feet tall and spreads about 1-2 feet wide. The plant has dark green leaves and bears large clusters of vibrant magenta colored flowers that bloom in July to September.

Grand Parade Beebalm is an herbaceous perennial with a mounded form. Its medium texture blends into the garden, but can always be balanced by a couple of finer or coarser plants for an effective composition. Perhaps because of this, Grand Parade™ was also the first Monarda to develop a hole in the center of the mass.

Best grown in rich, medium to wet, moisture-retentive soils in full sun to part shade. Prefers rich, humusy soils in full sun, although some afternoon shade is appreciated in hot summer climates. Does best in well-draining conditions, but can tolerate heavier clay. Soil should not be allowed to dry out. Deadhead flowers to prolong summer bloom.
