#1 · Mar 7, 2002 I'm buying a new 9-5 Aero in UK. It comes with the AS2 audio system with optional AS3 for 355 pound. I was unable to find out what are the differences between the two systems, only that the AS3 has two more speakers and a more powerful amplifier. Can somebody help with information on a comparison betwen the two systems?

#1 · Jun 4, 2014 I've seen a lot of ways people have done things, but on a whole, it seems like aftermarket head units do not look stealth and clean like the Saab OEM one does. So I am likely keeping the OEM one unless someone can tell me otherwise about any aftermarket one looking and sounding better. Questions:

If you have subwoofers on the deck in the rear that say "Harmon Kardon" it is an AS3 system, standard on the 99 Saab 9-5 SE, optional on the Standard 99 9-5. As I said the speakers run at odd Ohm's that you cannot find on aftermarket speakers and the sound can some out distorted and actually not as clear as they did before.
