When I tried to add custom portraits I went to character creation after moving the files and there was an extended list of pages to select portraits from but they were all blank.. I copied my custom portrait folder from Wasteland 2 to Users\*****\Documents\my games\Wasteland3 and it worked.

Custom portrait is a feature allowing the player to upload their own portrait for use by Rangers in both Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 3. 256x256 pixels large PNG format Placed inside the Custom Portraits folder in Wasteland 2/3's My Documents folder (on Windows 10 that's My Documents/My Games/Wasteland 3/Custom Portraits).

Searching google images for term "wasteland 2 avatars" is one of the coolest searches on google images I've ever done. It was like "woah." Some of it was art and some of it was live action images. I'm not saying it was all specifically for Wasteland 2 avatars but a lot of them were. Again, it was visually very cool looking. #2

Thanks! Been messing around with TF2 portraits. I think I like them better than the grim and gritty ones. BTW, found a cool little "glitch/feature". From United States. Posted September 11, 2014. JKN91: The recently released manual for W2 indicates that you can insert your custom portrait for characters. What is the size for the pictures? The manual does not specify this. The images they use are all 256x256, so I assume that would be the same for your custom images.
