Midden in het centrum van Groningen, achter de Grote Markt, verrijst een mastodont: de nieuwbouw van het Groninger Forum. Daarvoor gaat SURF de wifi-voorzieningen leveren, met de dienst SURFwireless. Op zich is dat een spectaculaire en uitdagende klus (zie kader), maar een ander aspect is echt nieuw: SURF gaat ook het bestaande wifi-netwerk van het Groninger Forum beheren.

Due to the many functions in the building, the new Forum Groningen is open daily from early to late. Of the approximately 300 study places, 178 are reserved.
