Has lots of butcher shops, produce kiosks and many places to eat on main floor but particularly on the 2nd and 3rd floor. We purchased meat twice from 2 different butchers ( yes they actually do cut the meat right there) at reasonable prices.

It opened in the spring of 2014 to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the iron and glass architecture erected in 1874. It was designed by Giuseppe Mengoni, the man behind Florence's Sant' Ambrogio.
