We arrived via boat (b/c that's how you arrive in Venice.) and were excited to find our hotel right on the water. Gorgeous setting! And located about 5 minutes (walking) to the main square (Piazza San Marco/St. Marks) The hotel is charming!

Review of Hotel Gabrielli. Reviewed July 26, 2007. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four days in May 2007. We found it online and booked it through an online agency because it offered a fourth night free, which made it fairly reasonable (for Venice, anyway). The hotel sits right on the main canal and we could have upgraded to a room with.
