1989 Nissan Skyline Silhouette R31 Show & Shine Shannons Club
For those that don't know it, this wagon is based on an Australian special edition Nissan Skyline R31, known as the GTS1 Silhouette. All the GTS1 cars were painted white. Some of the visually distinguishing features of the car included 16" white powder coated 11 spoke wheels, rear spoiler, unique SVD / Silhouette decals and sports cloth.

1988 Nissan Skyline Silhouette GTS R31 Manual Sedan The Nissan Skyline Silhouette GTS Sedan was produced in limited numbers by Nissan Australia's ``Special Vehicles Division`` (SVD) in 1988. In total, 200 units were produced by SVD and individually numbered with a plaque on the dash.

An intercooled turbo sedan developed by SVD went on to be used as a pace car in several high profile Australian motorsport events including the 1988 Australian Grand Prix, further promoting the SVD brand. 2 Following a successful production run of 200 GTS1 vehicles in 1988, the GTS2 was launched.

Nissan Australia's decision in the 1980s to muscle-in on the six-cylinder market dominated by Falcon and Commodore resulted in the local manufacture of a version of the R31 Skyline. There would be no coupe or four-door hardtop for Australia, only the conventional sedan and wagon.
