We loved the B'Twin Triban 500, but the 520 represents a significant improvement over its predecessor. Made from 6010 -T6 Aluminum, B'Twin 520 has tweaked geometry over it's predecessors.

Aside from these differences, it is essentially exactly the same bike, and sadly suffers from the same flaw: the stock B'Twin wheels really are only good for stopping the sharper bits of the bike making marks on Dacthlon's nice showroom floors.

I've owned a Triban 3 and now a Triban Ultra 700 AF and for the money (i paid £299.99 for the 3 and i think you can get the 700 AF for about £550 now) they are simply the best thing on two wheels. I did a lot of research on bikes of similar spec to the Ultra 700 and every other model (Specialized, Trek etc.) with the same specs came in about two hundred quid more.
