The building at 416 Centre Street South, in the Town of Whitby, was built as the Ontario County Court House, but since 1967, it has been known as the Centennial Building. The old courthouse was built between 1852 and 1854 by prominent architects Frederick Cumberland and Wallace Storm. It served as a trial court from the day it opened.
