The Sistine Madonna hangs in the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister (Old Masters Gallery) of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden ("Dresden State Art Collections") in Germany. The painting has been there since 1752/54, except for the years 1945-55 when it was in the possession of the Soviet Union.
