Whether the pioneers of the island were from Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, Île-Perrot, Pincourt or Terrasse-Vaudreuil, they were all well acquainted with the windmill which is an icon for the population of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.
