Yellow Rock is a giant hill of multicolored slickrock that is somewhat unique for its lack of standard slickrock features. There are no hoodoos, no loose rocks on the surface, no canyons, and almost no vegetation. Still, it is well worth visiting for its interesting colors and great views. It is accessed from the Cottonwood Canyon Road. The hike is short, but the initial climb is quite steep.
