As far as floating head posters go, this one is a vast improvement over the book tie-in cover. The artist for this one has taken into account things like symmetry, lighting (for the most part, at least versus the tie-in cover), and drama, and I find myself wanting to study the details, like the raised hands, the cloaks, and so on.

It's my mostly known as the "floating heads posters" and they started to take over during the 90's when studios didn't want to pay artists to paint posters anymore, relying on photos of actors, who were also responsible for this horrible trend because they wanted to be recognized by audiences, so they asked to be as visible as possible on posters.

Floating heads, villains in the back, and more floating heads. While design, style, and creativity should be priorities for these posters, there is also a goal of capturing the essence of the film. Some MCU posters do that very well… others don't seem to attempt it at all.
